Hello HCMUD 370 Residents:
The HCMUD 370 water plant has reached an extraordinary level of water demand to such a degree that our operator, TNG Utility Corp. has recommended that the district enter into Stage 2 Severe Drought Conditions pursuant to the requirements of the District’s Drought Contingency Plan. Accordingly, mandatory restrictions for water usage are effective immediately based on the districts Drought Contingency Plan. While there is a possibility of rain being forecasted over the next several days, TNG Utility had to take into consideration the integrity of the district’s wells and the amount of water received by the WHCRWA. In addition to preserving HCMUD 370 water resources, entry into Stage 2 will help to preserve and protect our wells and give them a much-needed opportunity to recover.
Stage 2 Triggering Condition: HCMUD 370 residential total daily water demand equals or exceeds an amount of water equivalent to twenty (20) average run time hours per day worth of water from the District’s wells for three (3) consecutive days.
Stage 2 is mandatory, and violations may result in enforcement action which may include a written warning, surcharge of not less than one hundred dollars dollars ($100.00) and not more than two hundred-fifty dollars ($250.00) for each violation, and/or disconnection of water service- subject to appeal.
