WHCRWA has received the results of their testing and surface water is safe. As a result MUD 370 will begin transitioning the water plant back to surface water this afternoon. As the surface water is brought back on line it will be blended with the well water currently in storage tanks and over the next few days our water will return to our normal blend (approximately 70% surface and 30% well/subsurface). Water pressure should be returning to normal over the next 12 to 24 hours.

The City of Houston lifted their boil water notice around 3 PM on February 21st. With this news, the West Harris County Regional Water Authority operations team has now collected their own samples and expect results afternoon of February 22nd.
As of right now, the WHCRWA is still under a boil notice. MUD 370 will continue to run on well (subsurface) water until we receive notice from WHCRWA that their testing indicates that the surface water from the City of Houston is safe. Our subsurface well water remains safe and does not require boiling. Subsurface water contains more minerals than surface water but, once again, it is safe to drink.
From an operational standpoint our MUD 370 water plant cannot produce as much water when running only on our well water. As a result, we ask that residents be prudent in their use of water until it is announced that operations have returned to normal.
Thank you for your cooperation.
